opportunities for tasting and study of Amphora’s interesting wines.
The Amphora Wine List
Amphora is committed to search out and supply interesting wines many of which are little
known in the UK or have not yet been produced in large enough quantities to be enjoyed by the world outside the producing region. Amphora’s main focus is on the French region of Languedoc Roussillon (see
the Regions pages in this site), which is the biggest vineyard in the world. The Languedoc Roussillon wine producers are well advanced in implementing a radical transformation from being, 30 years ago, France’s source of cheap bulk, vins ordinaires into
a region which is already producing interesting wines of unique characters and of world-class qulaity.
Our Prices
Amphora is committed to pricing levels expected of the direct and friendly nature of a
local business. Our prices reflect our efficient supply chains, with the lack of many of the intermediaries who are typically involved with the supply of wine from the vineyard to the consumer.
